Chief Executive Officer                

Brian Pedlar

Mr. Pedlar brings extensive international business development experience in the medical industry, with expertise in mergers, acquisitions and public company finance. He held senior executive positions with public companies including Merge Healthcare, Cedara Software Corp. and IMAX Corporation. Prior to Covalon, he served as President of Pedlar Ventures Limited, a private venture investment and consulting firm based in Oakville, Ontario. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Allison University, a postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Canadian Chartered Accountant.

Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Val DiTizio

Dr. DiTizio is a co‐inventor of Covalon technologies and a co‐founder of the company. He has degrees in science from the University of Toronto as a Biochemistry Specialist. Dr. DiTizio completed his Master's degree in liposome drug delivery. His graduate research involved the application of polymer chemistry and drug delivery in pursuit of novel materials and processes that currently comprise the core of Covalon’s intellectual property. Dr. DiTizio holds several US and European patents.

Chief Business Officer, Chief Financial Officer

William Jackson

Mr. Jackson has many years of medical device experience, including extensive sales and business development with Karl Storz Endoscopy Canada Ltd. and with Stryker Corporation where he was a top ten sales performer and a member of the president's Council. Mr. Jackson was a co‐founder of Preferred Medical Products (a start‐up catheter manufacturer company, sold to Ballard Medical) and Vice President of Finance for TIME process. He holds an undergraduate degree in Honours Business Administration and a graduate degree in Accounting. Mr. Jackson is a co‐founder of Covalon.

Advisor to the CEO and Board of Directors

Abe Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz joined Covalon as an advisor in 2009, bringing decades of experience as a successful entrepreneur. He is a former director of the Company and served as CEO of Cedara Software Corp., a medical imaging company listed on the TSX and NASDAQ, where he led an extremely successful turnaround. Mr. Schwartz assists Covalon in the negotiation of technology distribution deals, strategic alliances and acquisitions, and provides guidance on financial management, strategic planning, human resources, investor relations and other corporate issues.
